About me

I am passionate about healthy living and seeing the positive changes that healthy food can make in our lives. It hasn’t always been this way for me and it’s been a process to get to where I am today. I’m married to Stuart and we have two children, Jasmine and Benjamin who have been my guinea pigs for many years.

Becoming a Natural Way Consultant has been an amazing journey. I have been fortunate to be a part of some transforming stories. Two women I coached, one with severe irritable bowel syndrome and another with Crohn’s disease, both experienced dramatic improvements by simply combining their food correctly. Another example of transformation was a woman I advised to forego all animal products for 6 weeks and she was amazed by her improved well being. She lost weight, had more energy and no longer experienced bloating or discomfort. Two other individuals I counseled stopped smoking; the man after a 20 year, 2 pack a day habit.

I am excited about working with anyone who wants to change their diet and lifestyle and become healthy. Having dealt with allergies my whole life, my own as well as my son’s, I’m very interested in helping those with food allergies. Other areas that I am focusing on are pre-menopausal and menopausal issues; encouraging parents in providing their children with healthy and appealing food; promoting exercise as an essential facet of a healthy lifestyle as well as general health. It’s all about lifestyle changes and making healthy choices and I value the opportunities in guiding individuals and families on this journey.

    About us

In 1991 Mary-Ann and Mark Shearer opened their first shop in Craighall Park, Johannesburg. It was called “Mary-Ann’s Wholefood Emporium” – It started out as a health food store supplying preservative-free dried fruit and light vegetarian meals and the dream was to have a place filled with ‘natural’ foods, clothing, furniture, energy-saving gadgets and a whole host of eco/natural lifestyle products. .. .
